Horse Description
Classy chestnut Oldenburg gelding. Should mature to
16.3 hh. Registered and microchipped and rated
Premium with the German Oldenburg Verband. Apple is
a big bodied fellow with a sculpted head, beautiful eye,
outstanding topline and neck and sporting a distinctive
blond mane. He has three very good gaits with
suppleness and an easy way of going. His dam Ferne is
by the imported Oldenburg stallion Fernet Branca (by
Furioso II) out of Kaumajet (see Air Time). Fernet
Branca, was a successful Grand Prix Dressage horse. He
was ranked with the World Breeding Federation as one
of the top dressage sires in the world. His son, Fun,
competed at the World Equestrian games in Rome on
the British Equestrian Team and was ranked in the top
100 dressage horses in the world for 2000. Fernet, a son
of Furioso II, also scored "9" in jumping at the 100 day
test at Adelheidsdorf, Germany finishing 10th out of 67
stallions. Ferne was inspected into the Oldenburg
Verband Main Mare Book with the top marks at her
inspection in 2004. As well as being an outstanding
mover, Ferne has the great temperament and rideablity
that Fernet Branca was known to have produced in his
offspring.
Apollo’s sire, the approved Hanoverian stallion
Autocrat,
was imported from the Celle State Stud, Germany. See
