Flip is a big, shapey mare. She is a beautiful copper
sorrel (like a new penny) with flaxen mane and tail. She
has a sweet dished face with a blaze and two high
stockings. She hurt her front feet as a yearling and
because of that she was not broke to ride as a young
horse. She has been used as a broodmare and had
some very nice colts but lately has just been turned out.
She is a sweetheart. She loves to get attention, she's
easy to catch, lead and tie. She seems eager to please
and very gentle. I have saddled her and led her around
and she doesn't mind that a bit. I have also put a bit in
her mouth and bitted her back. She will give to the bit
and back up. I've also worked her in the round pen
saddled and bridled, she has done great. She has no
buck or meanness in her. She has been easily trained
so far. She has shoes on the front and is completely
sound. She gets along with other horses great, whether
it's mares, geldings or colts. She can also be turned out
with goats and she does just fine.
Flip has a great pedigree. Her full sister Color Of Hope
sold for $20,000 as a 4 year old, she has 22 perf. pts.
and ROM in western pleasure in Amateur division, 99
perf. pts. (hunter under saddle, showmanship at halter,
and western pleasure) and an ROM and superior in
western pleasure in the nov/amt division, and 55 perf.
pts. (hunter under saddle, western pleasure, and ROM
and Superior in western pleasure in the Open division.
She has another full sister who is a great mounted
shooting horse and barrel horse in SW MO. Flip's
paternal grandsire is Silky McTavish with 99
performance points (6 cutting, 1 reining, 92 western
pleasure), 52 halter points and an ROM, Superior in WP
and a Superior in Halter. He was also 6x grand
champion, 5x res. grand champion and and APHA
champion. Flip's paternal granddam, Hy Diamond Del,
has 8 performance points from WP and an ROM in
western pleasure. Flip's maternal grandsire is Sonny Go
Grand. He has halter and performance points in hunter
under saddle. He was a multi world champion sire. Flip's
paternal granddam, Aledo Bar Bee, has 2 halter points.
Looking back farther, Flip has many world champions in
her pedigree with cutting, race, western pleasure,
halter, etc. She goes back to greats such as Johnny
Dial, King, Sonny Dee Bar, Leo, Wimpy, Joe Reed, etc.
This mare has lots of potential no matter what you want
to do with her. She makes great babies and is a great
mom. She would also make someone a nice riding horse
whether you want a trail horse, pleasure horse, show
horse, cow horse, or barrel horse. She has the potential
to go far. REDUCED BY HALF: $900!! We have too many
horses right now and not enough hay. This mare is
worth much more than this so my loss is your gain. Ask
about my website...more horses for sale.
I would consider trading Flip for round pen panels or
possibly other horse-related items that don't eat, like
manure spreader, horse hay, etc.
