Horse Description

Atonte is A.I. sired by Winning Colors and out of our show mare, Magics Coosa Nicki (by One Tuff Act.) She is now a coming four-year-old and super bred for Halter and Pleasure (either English or Western) .... Atonte's Dam is winning show mare who has her own story to tell (see Nicki's page). Atonte is not only very sweet, smart, and intelligent, but also an elegant mover. Atonte is under saddle in both English and Western. She is also presently mastering the art of Pleasure Driving....and what a terrific carriage horse she is!!! Graceful, flowing elegance with presence when under saddle or pulling a cart, Atonte is a versatile filly. This beautiful three-year-old was out on the open show circuit with Christine McCormick, who was new to the English discipline in 2005. It was a big switch for Chris from barrel racing to English Hunter, but the unbelievably talented Atonte worked hard at helping Chris do well in the show ring. This team captured many ribbons during 2005....bringing home a First Place Blue in English Equitation during their first 2005 August weekend and Reserve Championship in Walk Trot English Pleasure. Due to an injury, Atonte went on sabbatical for a year and is currently back in training with William T. Hamilton for her debut on the 2007 show circuit. Keep your eyes on this filly.....she's out "winning for her mama, Nicki," and is proving herself to be a star!
