About Drum Horses:

Drum Horses have became recognized as a breed while
in service to the Queen of England. These horses are
used in ceremonial parades to carry the Queen's heavy
kettle drums. These large colored horses are prized for
their size, feathering, and disposition. The Clydesdale
and Shire are famous for their breathtaking size and
beautiful flowing feather. These big horses are known
for having a quiet nature and carrying themselves with
pride and dignity. These are the same attributes that are
valued in the Drum Horse and make them such an awe-

Drum Horse have captured the imagination with their
stunning good looks and stately air. Often seen as a
larger version of the Gypsy Cob, the Drum Horse stands
at least 16hh and utilizes the bloodlines of the
Clydesdale, Shire, Friesian and Gypsy Cob. It is a heavy
horse, with lovely feather and exceptional disposition.
Developed as a heavy riding horse, the Drum Horse is
suited for dressage, eventing, hunting, saddle seat, trail,
pleasure and, of course, makes an excellent driving
horse.
