Horse Description

Definitely Sly, AQHA 3713747, is an outstanding gelding who was originally raised and trained by the PM Livestock Company in Post, Oregon, which is well-known and respected for producing top quality horses. This big handsome gelding has extraordinary conformation with heavy muscling, a short back, long shoulder, one of the prettiest heads and deepest hips you have ever seen and can compete in the large AQHA shows and win; in addition, Sly has an incredible mind. He was extremely easy to train and quick to learn as a youngster and has a quiet, kind and willing disposition. He was used on the large cattle ranch upon which he was raised to gather cattle, as well as sort and drag calves to the branding fire. Sly also is very light in the bridle with an outstanding sit-down stop, a great turn around, and nothing bothers or spooks him on the trails or around the barns. Several years ago Sly sold to an equine veterinarian who not only rode him all over the state of Oregon on the trails, but who also had a professional trainer put another year of training into Sly in roping and reining. Sly was only shown twice and the first time out he won both of his classes in heeling AND took Reserve Champion in Halter at an AQHA show in Idaho. Just in that one show, Sly got half way to his ROM in Halter and Performance, so if his new owner wants to show this great gelding or use him as a jackpot horse, he can certainly win for you. Sly is ONLY for sale because his lady-vet owner recently had her first HUMAN baby and she doesn't have enough time to give Sly the attention he enjoys and deserves at this point. Sly is certified HYPP N/N, current on all heath care and guaranteed sound.
