Horse Description

Beautiful, Calm Mare. Picture is of her and colt last spring. I have lots of newer, better pictures but I can't seem to get them to load. Please e-mail and I'll be glad to send them. I think she needs an experienced rider and don't put inexperienced riders on her without some close supervision in the arena pen. She'll let them on and walk around, but she just doesn't know enough right now and needs a confident rider to direct her. She has good ground manners, clips, ties, trailers, vets, and stands for farrier. She had 30 days of training as a 2 year old and then she cut her foot (well healed, no lameness) so we were off her. She had a 30 day tune- up as a 3 year old but I tore a tendon in my leg, so I was off her. She had another 30 day tune up as a 4 year old but a bad tetnus shot blew a hole in her chest (well healed and the scar is barely visible) and we were off her. So we decided maybe we'd have better luck breeding her. She bred the first time exposed to the stud and settled quickly. She had a nice big bay roan foal last year (with one blue eye) and she's a great momma, but we didn't ride her for almost 2 years. We have been on her a few times this spring in the arena pen and she is working ok. I don't have the time and my girls just don't have the skills, patience or desire to put the time in and work with her the way she needs to be worked - they would just rather hop on the other horses and go. She has a naturally low headset and nice pleasure gaits, but she also has speed available and can turn and spin. However, we have limited space and she's not the best fit for our family. We'd like to see her go to a good home either to be trained and used out to her potential or to be a good momma and throw some more awesome babies.
