| Horse Description |
|
Jeff is New Zealand foaled and raced until the age of
three. Re-trained for hunter/jumper competition by well-
known horse breeder and show jumping trainer Helen
Ensor from New Zealand (zactac company). Helen has
represented New Zealand at Pony Club level, taken a
second in the Samsung International Show-Jumping
competition, and most recently has won the show-
jumping amature title at Horse of the year show in New
Zealand. Jeff has competed and won successfully at
open 100cm height with Helen Enzor. Needs experienced
rider to take him to next level. Will do best with
someone who can keep him in shape and busy
competing. Comfortably jumps 2'6-2'9 and has ability to
go higher under the right rider. Needs assertive rider
but not aggressive. (Does not like the whip or spurs at
all!) He's happy when he knows what is expected of him!
Jeff is fully trained in basic groundwork and would make
competitive dressage or eventing horse. He can
sidepass, execute flying lead changes, rounds off nicely
and collects after a bit of work. Jeff enjoys trails
immesly and cross country courses. Exels in hunter
jumper competition and showjumping, very honest
jumper. Has been ridden in town, through lakes and
rivers, and overall very experienced. He has jumped 2'9
logs, 2'7 rock walls, 2'9 culverts, and many other cross
country obsticles with ease. Three lovely paces with
very willing personality. Tracks up nice. Updated in
Spring of May 2007 on shots, teeth, and other medical
needs. On a basic worming program recommended by
Madison Equine. Jeff is a lovely chestnut, 16hh, with
great impulsion and is very relaxed and rythmic with a
good technique over a fence. Stands for farrier, loads,
clips (although I have let his hair grow out since the last
time I competed), loves to be scratched, and loves
peppermints. Over all very good manners and is very
willing put out energy! Extremely athletic and talented
when it comes to jumping and flatwork. No lameness or
bad habits. Loves to be outside with mates, NOT a stall
horse by any means! Jeff is barefoot right now and has
been for the past two years. Jeff has not been off the
farm for about six months, so he may be a bit "hot
headed" at first when you take him places. He will relax
eventually, and the more you get him out and about the
better he will get. I notice that when he knows he is in
an arena of some sort he calms down quicker and
knows it's time to get to work. He also does better when
traveling with a buddy so he knows he has someone
with him! He is out on pasture 12 hours a day and
comes into a dry corral at night with dry hay so he
doesn't get too "messy". I also bring him in to the corral
when it rains to avoid wet grass. He needs a rider/
trainer that is willing to work him at least 30 minutes to
an hour at least five days a week! Definitely THE horse
you need if you are a rider with ambition, focus, have
confidence, and are gentle but assertive. If he knows
you have confidence and that you're having fun he'll
jump the moon for you! Currently leased out and in
training with Peter Arndt in Waupan area. Peter will be
eventing Jeff later this year on the 12th and 13th of
August when he gets him in shape! Owner going to
college. Please Call (608) 437 4222, ask for Cindy. Or e-
mail at sidders_2005@hotmail.com. I have more
pictures available that are updated and a bit nicer than
the one on this site!
