Horse Description
Salina is a 7 year old Appaloosa mare that is bred to go to work. She is small in stature only 14.2 hands, however she has all the potential in the world. She is quick on her feet, has a soft mouth, and is eager to learn and please. She is the type of horse that can work all day and still have something left at days end. She currently has a foal by her side(Her filly was Born Friday July 13th). Her foal is out of an awesome working quarter horse (Brazos Dry Chill ) that has a pedigree of a champion. Some of his lineage includes Double-bred Dry Doc, Peppy San Badger, and Hollywood Jack. The foal is included with the asking price. Salina is not for an inexperienced rider, like myself. That is why she is for sale. She is broke to ride and is very high spirited. Hoping that I could keep her, last fall she had 30 additional days of professional training at Swingin S Ranch by longtime trainer and horse expert, Carl Sudbrink. Carl had nothing but praise for this mare. He is willing to speak with anyone who is interested in purchasing Salina. This horse would make a great 4-h gaming horse for the right (not a beginner) person. Salina is wonderful around my 2 year old son, he walks right behind her and can sit on her back with no hesitation.
