Irish Draught Mare for Sale in Kentucky - Athena

Horse Description

Athena is an Irish Sporthorse from Ireland. She is a superb example of the breed. She did her fair share of winning at the three and a half foot jumping level before we bought her. She showed under the name Shelby. She retired early with us to be our "daughter's" project horse, but we have moved from Texas to Kentucky and Chelsea is headed to college next month and will not be able to use her as much as she deserves. She is offered here as an experienced riding and jumping mare, but she has been at pasture for over a year and will need brushing up to return to top form. Athena is 15.3 hands and in superb condition including tough barefoot hooves. She has been running with our Dutch imported Friesian stallion. We don't believe that you will find a horse of this caliber for this price anywhere in the world. With the right rider, she will really shine once again!
