Horse Description

Mazie is 7 yrs old, 14.2hh, 900lbs, stocky body type QH/Paint/TB cross. She can be registered as a paint. Her mom is a TB, her dad is QH/paint. She isn't registered, but I have the transfer papers and everything you'd need to do that. On her QH side, she has great lines (goes back to Traveler, Joe Bailey, Plaudit, etc.) and on the TB side (Fair Play, Bold Ruler..). I don't know much about lines, but my friend does and she LOVES to look up the lineage. She was going nuts over her lines. We've been riding this mare and I am quite impressed with her. My Dad did her training a couple of years ago, had her going well, down the road, doing trails (ditches, woods, etc) and the owner took her home only to let her sit for two years (why do people do that?!). He ended up getting this horse back and got her going again. I brought Mazie back home with me recently and we've been doing lots of trail riding. She can be a bit looky at things, but is very respectful of her rider and very tuned into your voice. She'll go by something scary because she trusts that you think it's a good idea. She is very western "y". She neckreins pretty well (working on that all the time) and she has a gas pedal if you ask her for it. She's a very fun horse and I could definitely see her doing gaming but also being versitile enough to be an awesome trail horse. I do have pics of her tacked english and with some training, she would even be fun for hunter paces. You could see her tacked both ways. She cross ties, picks up her feet and is easy to lead, groom, tack, etc. She's a nice girl with tons of potential. Thanks for your interest! More pics available
