Horse Description

Max is a fabulous mover with a sweet disposition. He has a huge trot - he really pushes from behind. He has a great walk - reaching well underneath himself. Max became 2nd premie star at the Hastings, Michigan keuring in September of 2007. He was also awarded Grand Champion Gelding at this keuring. (The Hastings Michigan keuring is the largest keuring in North America - this year 108 Friesians were inspected there by the FPS jury). Max is a quiet Friesian with excellent manners. He stands well for the farrier, is quiet in the cross ties, bathes and clips with no problems. He is great on the longe line - responding to voice commands. He began training under saddle in August of 2007. He is solid walk and trot and does canter under saddle though his canter is still unbalanced. He is forward and willing to work. Max has been on several organized trail rides on public trails and he really enjoys it. Because of his quiet, kind disposition and "courage" on the trails, Max would make an excellent pleasure horse. Because of his great movements (especially his incredible walk) and willingness to work, Max would make a great dressage horse with FEI potential. Maximus measured 166 cm at the keuring (16.1 1/4 hands). I expect him to mature at 16.2 hands tall. He comes from a strong mother line (stam 50 and star-star- stb-star-star-model).
