Looking for a perfectly
mannered, breath takeingly
beautiful, sweet, intelligent,
horse to trail ride or ride
low level dressage. Heavier
rider looking for that horse
that can carry you all day.
Charlie is the horse for you.
Charlie has been retrained
from driving to riding, right
now he has a fantastic walk, a
steady medium trot and we are
working on a canter. He does
pace but only at liberty for a
few strides and when he falls
out of a canter. He is not a
jumping prospect he is too
substantial. Wears at least a
2 shoe. He does not and will
never have western pleasure
gaits - when pushed he will
have about a 26 foot trot stride.
Perfect for vet and farrier.
Has his own loading system,
goes part way in and out 2
then loads - because
apparently he has been hauled
in trailers that were too
small, hauls quietly. Stands
dead still for mounting and
dismounting - thank goodness
at his height that would be
disastrous. Rides in a French
snaffle, softly on the bit
more whoa is not a problem.
Extremely easy keeper - save
the grain and feed good
quality hay.
Very independent - doesn't
care if he is with other
horses or not. Alert but not
spooky, has never bolted and
shied only once in the 4 years
I've owned him.
He was purchased as a husband
horse for trail riding but
became my horse when my horse
retired.
I hate to sell him because he
is a wonderful companion.
Loves to play the target game
for treats.
Easy to ride you have contact
from your inner thigh to about
the lower middle calf.
He is only for sale because I
need shorter, and my hubby
says 2 only. However if I
don't sell him I won't be
heart broken.
If you want to have a safe fun
dressage project you will be
rewarded with a fun companion
and spectacular gaits while
having a safe ride.
