Horse Description

Here is a beautiful red dun son of the legendary horse The Ole Man. Amarillo was broke to ride as a 2 year old and was ridden and roped off of until the age of 5. He was the turned out to stud until recently we have ponied colts and various other things. He is a pleasure to ride around the place. The dam of this stallion is absolutely gorgeous with Doc Bar, King Paul, Leo San, and Silver King on her papers. She is a red dun with a beautiful head and the sweetest disposition, all of which she has passed on to our stallion. His sire needs no introduction. The Ole Man was a AAAT race horse with a SI-100. Amarillo's paternal granddam was also a AAAT race mare with a SI-100. Chicado V set a track record in her first race and was 1952 racing co-world champion two year old filly (along with Bardella). Chicado V is the only mare to produce 5 AAAT (highest level of racing) offspring. Triple Chick, a son of Chicado V and a full brother to the sire to our stallion, foundered as a 2 year old and many say he would have made a AAAT as well.
