Horse Description

Spanky is very smart and has a great start along with
his pleasing disposition. He has a lot of heart and is
willing to put it into whatever you ask him to do. His
natural gaits of walk, trot, and lope are smooth and
slow, with good coordination. He has experienced a
variety of situations and is doing great controlling
himself instead of spooking or becoming overly tense.
This is because he has learned to look to his handler to
show him what to do. Spanky is familiar with verbal
cues for whoa, walk, trot, lope, and back. He has been
ridden outside in arenas and on trail through fields,
woods, and small creeks and in indoor arenas as well as
with other horses. He always keeps his ears on the
rider. He is good on the ground too--you can lead him
by his halter, wash him with a hose, and he will stand
for you to groom and tack up. He also loads on the
trailer very easily and travels well. Spanky is ready for
someone to show him a game to play, which could go
from pleasure to barrels to reining, for his three year
old show season.
