7 y/o Appaloosa mix mare for sale. 14.2 to 14.3 hands
tall. Very in-your-pocket personality. A little bit of a
Houdini. LOVES people. Good with other horses, dogs,
kids. Loves kids. Great for the advanced beginner rider
or a beginner with someone around that has a little bit
of experience. My 8 y/o neice has been riding her for
almost 2 years, but is just not 100% confident on her as
she has faster gaits than the old quarter horse she is
use to riding. No bad habits other than getting out of the
fence, but she will put herself back in :-). Has some
Parelli Natural Horsemanship training- been to 2 Level
1/2 clinics. Rides English or Western, though she is
mainly ridden Western. My neice can get on her and be
turned loose in the arena after the horse has sat for
awhile without a hitch. Have had several inexperienced
riders on her and she does great and she has been used
for lessons. Used for pleasure riding, mainly in my small
arena or on the trails. Has never been shown, but would
probably be a good 4-H horse. Fairly confident horse, if
she does get a little nervous she quickly gains her
confidence back. Been through just about everything on
the trail- logs, heavy brush, open fields, bridges, water,
moose. She doesn't really like to cross water, but if you
let her sniff it and gently encourage her she will go.
After crossing a couple of times she goes right through.
Very fun personality. Left-brain extrovert all the way.
Medium walk, faster trot and canter, but very easy to
stop. Ridden in a plain snaffle or with a rope halter.
Great ground manners. Baths, trailers, ties, good with
farrier. Asking 3500.00 or best offer. May consider trade
for a bigger horse that can be taken hunting and who is
