| Horse Description |
|
Hudson is a 16 hand blood bay AQHA mare with a star
and a snip born in 2000. I have owned her since she
was 18 months old. She has had 60 days professional
training and since then, I have put over 200 rides on her
in the mountains leading pack strings, packing game
out, team penning, trail riding across streams, swamps,
logs, you name it. She is very athletic, fast, and
loved to jump when she was younger. She is good
around dogs, and has had a lot of bareback riding in a
halter and lead rope. She has been ridden by children
as young as 12. She's very confident traveling by
herself and likes to be in the lead with other horses.
She is easy to catch, load and shoe. She has drug trees
and ponied frisky colts as well. The reason she is for
sale is because of a highline incident in hunting camp
last fall where she got a rope burn on her hind leg.
Since that time, she has healed with only a small scar,
but she may only be sound for light riding my vet feels
she may heal 100% but not sure yet it will take a while
to see. She was exposed to a blue roan stallion this May
to give her some time off and comes with a free breed
back if she did not catch. We don't have the
pasture to keep horses that can't be ridden hard, so I
want to find her a home that is looking for a great
broodmare or light riding horse with size, confirmation,
and excellent racing bloodlines. I have a lot of pictures
of her being ridden from the time she was 2 until now.
Come take a look and go for a ride. Her only issue
sometimes when you ride her, when she hits a rock
wrong, she picks up her hind foot and hesitates. Most of
the time she acts fine, like 2 weeks ago, when I took her
for a 3 mile ride and it didn't happen and she was fine.
Her registered name is Hudson Miss Josie Bar JV
REGISTRATION #: 3969299
She goes back to such greats as Ad Hoc, Alamitos Bars,
Three Bars, Top Deck, Joe Hancock, King, and Rebel
Cause. Her grandsire Ad Hoc earned $33,000 with a
speed index of 101 and AQHA Superior Race Hrse. Ad
Hoc produced 20 Race Register of Merits including one
Superior Race Horse, one Montana Race Champion, and
multiple performance horses. He produced multiple AAA
race horses. Ad Hoc is a son of Alamitos Bar, an
outstanding son of Three Bars. Alamitos Bars lingers on
the top of leading sire lists and leading maternal
grandsire lists. His offspring are great performers on
the race track and in the show arena. Ad Hoc's
maternal grandsire is Rebel Cause, two time World
Champion Race Horse. I have a lot of pictures and can
e-mail her pedigree upon request. Please call (406) 628-
5293 if you have any questions. Asking $2000 OBO.
