| Horse Description |
|
Quarter Horse / Welsh mare.
Annie is an eleven year old
(on July 29) chestnut Quarter
Horse cross. She is
registered half Quarter Horse
under the name "Ima Fancy
One". She stands a hair under
14.2hh. Annie is 100% sound
and always has been - she has
no health issues at all and
doesn't require any special
diet. She's quite a good
"doer" so you would want to
watch the amount of grain
unless you're really working
her heavily. Annie is up to
date on shots, deworming, and
hoof trimming. She is
currently barefoot but she has
worn front shoes. Annie
doesn't bite, kick, crib,
stall walk or anything like
that. Basically no vices ...
EXCEPT there are a few men she
just doesn't like (but I'm
kinda like that myself LOL).
She's fine with my Barry and
most of our friends but for
some reason, there are some
she can't tolerate. For
instance, she's just fine for
all her shots as long as one
of the female vets come out
but if Dr. Gary Colley
arrives, she starts acting up
as soon as he walks in the
barn. I have a theory that
it's maybe not men in general
but men in green coveralls.
I purchased Annie for my ten
year old daughter in 1999 as a
two year old. My daughter
trained her western and used
her for trail riding and 4-H
for several years. During
that time, Annie had three
foals and she is a wonderful
little mother. But (I'm sure
you can guess the end of this
story) my daughter turned into
a teenager and poor Annie was
kind of forgotten.
So, I sold Annie in September
of 2005. Just this past
Easter weekend I received a
phone call from the girl who
had bought her wondering if I
would buy her back. The girl'a circumstances had
changed and she was no longer able to keep her horses.
Of course I couldn't say no
and Annie arrived returned on
March 24. That put me up to
seven horses and I had hoped
to get down to four!
And Annie returned in
foal. She had a fine,
handsome chestnut colt on June
12. (Add that colt to the one
I was already expecting, and
I'm now up to nine horses!!!)
We've named Annie's boy
"Razeel" meaning bad boy (but
in a playfull way) and wait
until you see him! What legs
and what a hip and such a
great guy - personality PLUS!
He's just a little ham and
loves all the attention he can
get!
In an attempt to find a home
for them soon, I am keeping
the price down at $2000 for
both Annie with her colt.
Once the colt is weaned, I
will still be asking $2000 for
Annie but then I'll also be
asking $750 for the colt.
With his great looks and
friendly nature, the colt
should easily be worth that
price as a weanling. So it's
really quite a good deal I'm
offering if you choose to take
both now! Since Annie's
already been shuffled around a
bit and I want a really good
forever home for her, I would
ask for references from your
vet and farrier before she
moved to your farm. I would
also ask for a buy-back clause
in our purchase agreement.
(If you ever decide to sell
her, I would have first option
to buy her back.) I really
don't have the space for Annie
but I will be keeping her for
as long as necessary to find
her a perfect forever spot so
she doesn't get moved around
anymore.
I am located in Paisley,
Ontario. Let me know
if you would like any more
information or would like to
come and see her. I look
forward to hearing from you.
