Horse Description
This mare is 1/2 Arabian and 1/2 Appaloosa, but looks
more like the QH breeding in her...strong build with a
good hip and chest. Sonora is well broke, neck reins,
trail rides, has done some gaming. She is willing and
forward on the trail. After almost 2 years of not getting
ridden, she saddled up calmly, and went out on the trail
without any problems at all. She didn't hesitate at
crossing the bridge or the water. She likes to be in front,
and has a ground-covering walk. In the arena situation, she's more than willing to move and is ready to run barrels. She is sensitive to leg pressure, so she requires a rider who doesn't use leg to balance. She also rides well bareback. Sonora had a beautiful blanketed foal this spring with an awesome temperament and conformation. That was her first foal and she's a great mom. Sonora has the few-spot coloration and
should throw color no matter whom she's bred to. Sonora's entire pedigree is available and she could be registered both as 1/2 Arab or Appaloosa. She is sound and healthy. UPDATE 4/1/09: I have drastically reduced Sonora's price...I got the foal from her that I wanted and we didn't breed her back. I'd take $400 for her to a good home.
