Beautiful Grey Purebred Russian Arabian 13 Yr Old
Gelding.
An expensive horse at a low price!
Viking has a very strong Russian lineage. The Arabian
horse lover will immediately tell a Russian Arabian by
his superior movements, especially his unrivaled trotting
action; by his nobility, and by his kindly disposition. The
Arabian horse took the fancy of the Russian horsy
public, especially the cavalrymen and Cossacks. To
Russians the Arabian was an epitome of equine
excellence, a fusion of Oriental beauty, endurance, huge
survival potential, and loyalty - exactly the
assets a horse was admired for in the semi-wild
steppes and forests of a huge country called Russia.

Viking is a direct descendant of Aswan from the Russian
Arabian breeding program. Aswan sired four of Viking's
great grand
parents. Other greats in his genealogy are Negatiw and
Salon.

I am his only owner (other than the breeder) and had
him brought here from Colorado. He was foaled
03/28/1995 and stands about
15 HH. He has great conformation, disposition and is
an all around good horse. He is still in his prime. Over
the years I have had
several trainers work with him. But I have just primarily
used him for trail and pleasure riding. He follows
commands easily and I
use a hackamore on him rather than a bit. He is smart,
and after four hours of trail riding he still has a lot of
stamina. You can't
train a horse to have stamina either they have it or they
don't. So I think that he would be a good endurance
prospect. Because he
is fast I would not recommend him to a beginning rider.
I know that the horse market is soft right now and that
is why I am asking significantly less that what I paid for
him. I am hoping to
find someone who appreciates this breed. I am
negotiable on the $2,000.00 price for the right home. He
has put on a little bit of a
hay belly due to his pampered life in the corral. I'm
hoping that you can work that off of him. The only
reason that I'm selling him is
that I don't have the time to ride him anymore. I am
willing to take payments with some money down.
