Poke is a sweet 17 year old pony gelding. We bought him last winter for our son. Unfortunately Poke doesn't quite fit in with our herd. He was a loner for many years before we got him and he isn't socializing with the herd and in turn the herd often runs him off. He stands good for the farrier, has had his teeth floated, current on shots and worming, and my kids ride him all over the place. Poke is not totally blind but there has been some indication that he can not see 100%. He often runs into things in the pasture that he should know are there by now. He can see however because when I put my hand up to his eye he flicks his eyelids. Poke is priced to move to a loving family who will give him a small place of his own. He has no bad vices other than he won't stand up for himself and make a place in the herd here. He would more than likely benefit from a home where he is the only one. He doesn't spook around dogs or goats either. I just can't say enough good about Poke I really love this little guy but he isn't living a happy life here. Serious inquiries only and a good home is a must preferably a forever home.
