would agree , your horse should be Halter Broke before
you start teaching your horse Saddle Training , This
means your horse should lead on a loose rein.

If you walk toward his face, he should move out of the
way.

Same with the hindquarters.

If you back up then your horse should too.

If you walk forward...so should your horse.

If your horse "doesn't" do these things,
then he's not halter broke.

Once your horse is halter broke then you can start with
standing still while mounting & now you have the starting
