Horse Description
"Ursa" is a gorgeous steel gray filly with unlimited potential for cowhorse events. Her sire, Mr. Silver Pistol is by PLAYGUN ( AQHA Top Ten and High Point earner, and NCHA money earner and Champion Producer of offspring winning close to $4 million) and out of a daughter of BOON BAR (NCHA money earner and World Champion sire). Ursa's dam is an appendix QH whose TB sire ran out over $70,000, a grandson of NATIVE DANCER (TB) (rated #6 of 20th Century racehorses by Blood Horse magazine, and who was a dominant sire- line of the past 60 years. ) and SWORD DANCER (1959 Horse Of The Year, CH 3-Yr-Old, Champion Handicap Horse). Ursa's QH granddam carries the lines of GO MAN GO (1955-56-57 World CH QH Running Stallion), 2X TOP DECK(AQHA Hall Of Fame sire), and DIAMOND DURO (AAAT and AQHA CH). With Ursa's combination of cowhorse and racing bloodlines, plus her color, excellent conformation, and attitude, she would make an outstanding working cowhorse/versatility ranch prospect.
