Horse Description
Very gentle mare that has had a lot of ground work, and respects your space. She is being trained with a gentle,


female hand. Sassy stands still when bridling, saddling,


and clipping. She does not spook easily; allows bags,


tarps, ropes etc. to be draped all around her body and


legs. I have had her lie down 5 times for me without


difficulty. She has always been gentle and safe in the


pasture with my 4 small nieces. Sassy has been ponied


with small children in the saddle. Sassy was started with


a full cheek snaffle and has now graduated to a tom


thumb. I have not yet trained her to neck rein. She is


very responsive to the bit and does well with flexion.


She also loads well, and leads well. Sassy has had


some trail riding in the local forest and continues to be


ridden around the farm without problems. Sassy does


well for farrier and the vet; she will occassionally put her


back feet down when the farrier is holding them, but she


does not fight. Sassy gets along well with other horses


in the pasture, and never causes any fights. She is well


muscled and has good bloodlines. Current on all


vaccinations. Sassy does well under harness. Has been giving sleigh rides to family and friends over the christmas holidays. More pictures available, including pictures of sleigh riding.
