Horse Description

Jewel is a beautiful black and white mare. We bought her for my daughter but my daughter is just to afraid of how tall she is. We ended up getting a pony for my daughter instead. Jewel is a nice mare and rides really well in an arena or round pen. She must not have been taken outside a lot because she "spooks" at things on trail riding easier than I would expect of a horse her age. She doesn't buck or freak out but she will prance sideways when something makes her nervous which can really make a beginner afraid. I would say she is for an intermediate rider, or only indoors for a beginner . We have not ridden her in almost a year, which is why she is for sale. I love her but I just can't afford to feed a horse that we are not using. I was told that she drives when we got her but we have never put a harness on her. We have taken her over jumps and she really seemed to enjoy herself riding with an English saddle and even more she loved the jumps. Update: My cousin who did the jumping with her last summer said she was doing very well on a 2' course. She just had her feet done and had a full exam including teeth and reproductive cultures this year ( all came boxk with no growth and cytology was good ). She was vaccinated in July for EWT-WN also Flu/Rhino. She has been on a regular worming schedule. All vet records available. She is an easy keeper and requires minimal care to keep in great shape. Unless she is working really hard she does not require grain. We feed her a decent grass mix hay and provide mineral blocks and fresh water and thats it folks. We never have received her papers, I didn't really care about them but could push it further if someone wanted them.
