****Rocket is MUCH more stockier than this picture he has a nice big build but not like a draft horse, like a normal paint**** Rocket is a very sweet gelding. My 14 year old daughter absolutely adores him but we may not have the money right now with the bad economy to board 2 horses. Rocket is 100% sound but he had surgery in both of his front legs in August and so we are gradually building his muscle back up. Rocket is only green broke and needs someone who knows what they are doing. He would be best suited to go to a trainer. He is GREAT with the farrier and vet, he also clips and bathes easily. But the only twirk he has is that he refuses to go in a trailer. You have to give him tranquilizers to get him to go in a trailer. We haved worked with him on that and he is getting better. My daughter is very dedicated to training him he is a great loveable horse.Goes both english and western but mainly focused on english. Very slow or fast when you want him to be. All skills are prospect. He has jumped up to 2'3 before the surgery, he has trotted the barrels and has very fast turns but he doesn't know how to rein yet, he collects easily and is very willing to do anything you want so he is a candidate for everything. Has been on trails before (western and english tack) we moved to Knoll Farm in June. He was great! jumped over fallen logs and didn't spook at anything! He is a very easy going horse to work with. He is currently in a training program and is being professionaly trained 5 days a week and my daughter rides the 6th day and we give him the 7th day off. Rocket goes in a Pelham but he doesn't really like it so we switched to a twisted wing bit (slow twist) and he likes that very well with light contact. We are trying a slow twisted Dee ring bit within the next week and our trainer thinks he'll do best in that. Price is $5,000 and comes with EVERYTHING that you could name.
