ScottishAce Dee, known better
as "Belle", is 7 year old
registered Palomino quarter
horse mare. She stands 14.3
and is the perfect size for
most any rider. She is as sane
as they come, and BROKE. She
was hauled to numerous WSCA
game shows this summer and
also went to a few O-Mok-See
shows. She has brought home
ribbons at most every show.
This is her first year showing
games and she runs the
patterns well. She would make
a youth rider looking to move
up from her pony very happy.
She has absolutely NO buck,
rear, kick or bite. She has
excellent ground manners. She
will lead, load, stand tied,
and cross-tie. She stands
without being tied for bathes,
will clip feet, face, ears and
all. She has never
been lame or sick. Belle
stands well for both the vet
and farrier. She has nice hard
hooves, and requires no shoes.
The roads where I live are all
gravel and Belle doesn't get
sore or ouchy. She is a trail
rider's DREAM. If you are new
into horses and want a SOLID
trail mount, Belle is the
horse for you. You CANNOT
spook this horse. She doesn't
mind horses coming up behind
her on the trail. She can lead
the pack or ride in the back
with no problems. She LOVES
trail riding. She has been to
many local trails such as Rush
River or Dassel/Darwin Park to
name a few, and went swimming
in the lake. You can also pony
other horses from her. I have
ridden Belle in a few parades
this summer and she took it
all in stride. We stood right
next to the marching band's
drumline while they were
practicing and she never moved
a muscle. Belle rides english
and western. She is starting
practice for the mounted posse
and takes all the obstacles
great with no hesitation. Her
beautiful palomino color and
wonderful temperament get
compliments almost everywhere
we go. She rides out just as
well alone as in a group. I
live a mile from the nearest
horse neighbor, and so we ride
out alone quite often. She
will ride in town, and along
tar roads, and is totally
traffic safe. I also have a
lot of neighbor kids and so
she has given many "pony
rides" and she has even given
pony rides to some of the
parents! She has also been a
lead line horse for a 3 year
old and 7 month old. She has
sorted cattle, tracked a lead
steer, had a rope thrown from
her, and been shot off of with
a gun for cowboy mounted
shooting. She will neck rein
or plow rein. She knows her
leads and yields to leg
pressure. She moves her front
end, hind end, and side passes
on cue. At the young age of 7
she can do so many things yet.
I cannot say enough good
things about her. She is not
mare-ish. I usually can't tell
when she's in heat. Saddle her
up, get on and ride. There is
no need to longe her first.
You can leave her sit for
weeks or months and she will
ride right off. If you are
looking for a safe, sane, and
sound horse, this is a horse
worth looking at. Price
