I train horses for a living and this is one of the very best
athletes I've seen in a long time. This horse could be a
professional's dream come true. Zip is incredibly
athletic, very intelligent and truly inquisitive. He is a
pocket pony and wants attention all the time. He learns
very easily and has taken to trick training very quickly.
Zip has been ridden on the trails, through water, around
traffic, worked cattle, been in the mountains and the
desert. He was in reining training for 4 months and was
very easy to work with. He travels well with others and
is not the dominant horse in a herd. He is extremely
sociable and loving so we require that he go to a loving
home with people who will treat him well. I think this
horse has serious talent and would excel in Roping,
Polo, Reining, Cutting or any discipline that requires
agility, speed and intelligence. He will make someone a
very fine horse. He's handsome too! He does have one
vice and that is that he cribs. Recently, the veterinarian
association has been exploring the reason for cribbing
and has offered a speculation that perhaps it is not a
boredom problem or an addicitve problem, but that it
may be done to alleviate gastric pressures in the
stomach. Zip does not crib incessantly, but only after
eating so we think that this may be the case at least for
him. We feed him free choice Alicia Bermuda hay, 12%
complete feed 2xdaily, free choice horse specific
minerals, and we would like him to go to a home where
the same considerate attention to health management is
given. He is current on Coggins and all shots, wormings
and dental care. Both my husband and my daughter ride
Zip. Many pics are available and we'd love to talk to you
about him. We are negotiable on price due to the
current economy. We are selling Zip because he is my
husbands horse and my husband recently had his spine
fused and can no longer ride. We do accept PayPal.
