Horse Description
Riley is a quiet, mature horse with a gentle attitude. He is very solidly built and looks bigger than his 14.3H. He could easily handle a fairly large rider. Riley is well broke, but hasn't had an experienced rider in a long time. He's starting to remember neck-reining, though, and is easy enough for almost anyone to handle. We've ridden him in a bit, a hackamore and a rope halter, and he's actually most responsive in the halter. He stops VERY well and has comfortable gaits. He's not one who will run away with you as he'd rather go slow. Not at all spooky. Riley would make a wonderful 4-H horse for someone just starting, or he'd be your best buddy for trail riding. He is low in the pecking order and LIKES to be caught and enjoys his time with "his person". Riley loads, ties, saddles easily, and loves attention. He is sound and healthy - vet checked to be 15 yrs old. $600 obo.
