| Horse Description |

Shadow is an 8yo Registered QH Gelding. He's a good size and flashy black with a white star (think Black Beauty). Great for an intermediate or advanced rider, for he's not quite push button yet.
I purchased him as a tune-up project but due to financial constraint have to sell him prematurely - a great opportunity for you to finish the job!
He has great foundation and getting better with every ride. He neck reins, has 3 speeds at the trot especially a nice little jog on a loose rein, amazing transitions off or your seat. He has great breaks and will slide to a stop from canter with just an exhale and woah. His lateral work (turn on haunch & forehand, leg yield, and side pass) is coming along well.
While I have been riding him western, he would probably make a nice English pleasure/hunter horse. He can be ridden on contact and will flex at the poll and go on the vertical, and he won't be heavy in your hands.
He has a great solid mind has never gotten flighty in training (He's not going to get flustered grab the bit and run off) and is far from spooky. I bring him in the barn for grooming and tack-up just drop the lead rope and he stands and quietly watches what you're doing (I wont say he reliably ground ties but he's on his way).
Has great ground manners and is respectful of personal space, and has been introduced to the Parelli 7 Games.
Has a great disposition, is inquisitive and loves people. He is always waiting at the gate to come out and work. He's quite the charmer and will stand all day for hugs and kisses.
He'd be great for a personal project. He is super forgiving would even be great as a first training project for someone, and if you'd like a helping hand or boost in confidence we do offer full board, training, and lessons at our farm. You'd be welcome to keep him here and we could get you both ready for this year's show season, or just safe and pleasurable riding. Take your horsemanship to the next level with a solid support system behind you!
Email for pictures, and I'd be glad to answer any questions. He has current coggins, shots, and his teeth were done in November.
