'Aurora' is a comming 5 year old Trakehner/Paint cross mare by Hollister. Aurora has undergone all ground training, including going onto the bit by giving to the pressure of a lifted rein, round penning, lunging, bathing, farrier work and she also hauls like a dream. She stands approxomitly 15.1HH, and is uniquely coloured. She is dark buckskin/brown with light patches of grey ontop of her base colour. She has 2 back white socks, and a stripe with a large Snip.
In the fall of 2008 Auora had a 15 year old rider on her back, while she was lead around at a walk, and behaved like an old school master. Since then, due to weather and time, no one has been on her back, so she is being advertised as "unbroke", but because she's so easy to work with, there is no reason why in a month she could not be going walk/trot on the bit in both directions with a confident rider. She has exceptional looks for the hunter ring, and movement for the Dressage ring.
On a scale of 1 - 10, she is a 3.5 on a bad day. She is deffinatly not a difficult mare, although she can be stubborn at times, which comes from being dominant over her pasture mate, and lack of work done with her recently. On the other hand, she is easy to work with and is a fast learner, an easy keeper(she's quite over weight right now!), goes barefoot year round and has fantastic feet. All her vacines and dewormers are up to date, and of this she behaves for wonderfully. She is the ideal mare when with miles, will take a petite ladies mount or experienced teen's mount in the show ring, ready to be taken your way!
She is located in Terrace, BC Canada and
her asking price is $1,200 CND as is or $1,500 CND with a 30 day tune-up with a professional trainer.
She is also available for a straight-across trade for a schooled Dressage mount.
