Rocky" is a 2 yr old stallion registered with AQHA and PHBA and is the most fabulous color! He's the color all palominos want to be with lots of chrome having a big wide blaze and high white stockings in the back and shorter ones in the front. He's been shown only one season as a yearling and already earned an ROM in Open Color and one in Amateur Color and almost half way there to a second in each catagory. He's also earned almost half the points needed for halter Stallions All Ages ROM's in both Open and Amateur. His sire was a riding stallion gentle and calm enough to be ridden in Parades going back to Skipper W by way of Classical Skipper from the Youngkers Ranch in Oklahoma. His dam goes back to Sonny D Bar and her great grandfather, Heed My Name, was a half brother to Affirmed...our last Triple Crown winner. This mare has 9 ROM's in ; Color, Halter, Flags, Barrels, Pole Bending, She has 7 Honor Rolls ( top ten in the nation in points for that year in a particular catagory) and a Superior in Color along with 5 World Show medals, a 4th in Color, 2 thirds in Pole Bending and 2 eights in Barrels.
Rocky, or Gamblin Rocky is easy to handle..gentle, easy to bathe, trim, clip, tie, load...he does it all. He's been ridden several times and there was never any buck or rearing. He's even been out on the road for rides. He would make a great stallion to pass on his beauty or.. if you wanted a good riding horse, gelding wouldn't take long..he'd be an outstanding gelding and make a super riding/show horse for anyone, AFTER training. Rocky just came from the Palomino show at the Kansas State Fair where he placed Reserve Grand Champion Halter Stallions all ages under both judges in both Open and Amateur. He was the high point Color horse at the show, earning 14 breed Color points while behaving like an aged gelding, even when lined up with geldings, mares and other stallions.
