SOLD to a very good home!!!! Rusty is a beautiful 15.1 hand chestnut Quarter horse gelding out of Easy Jet with Blondy's Dude and Poco Bueno blood that is well put together. He has fantastic ground manners and was trained in a Clinton Anderson 3 day clinic. He is completely sound and very personable not to mention smart. He is not for the beginner rider. He is very energetic when you first get on, so round pen work is sometimes needed to get his attention before you ride. He was barreled,roped off of as a heeler, and team penned when he was younger. He has a lot of speed and could make a great barrel horse in the right hands. He has auto lead changes in pole bending and is smooth as silk. He also is an experienced trail horse and does really well especially when he is with less experienced horses. We have ponied other horses off of him and he did great. He became the "old experienced gelding" for the duration and went right to work holding steady inspite of a hyped up horse beside him. Rusty is a fantastic horse and fun to ride. I could definitely see him doing well in the rodeo as a team roper or barrel horse. He knows what to do but will need someone who is experienced and can remind him of the fine points. If you are looking for a horse that has the talent to do great things, he is your boy. A great and caring home is a must. We love this boy and want to know that he is in good hands. We are only selling him because we have 3 other horses, 2 of which are green and require a lot of our time, so he doesn't get the attention he needs to realize his full potential. He is too good of a boy to let sit so long between rides. UTD on shots and current coggins (Given March of this year). Just farriered on April 26th and given his regular worming treatment. Loads, clips, ties, stands for farrier, etc with no problems. Completely sound. Email for pedigree.
