Cookie is a big gentle giant. He is my absolute favorite
as far as a horse could go. Although never trained in
carriage he would easily go into one. He is trained
under saddle and basic level dressage. He has been
used on trails, in parades, carried 6 kids around at a
time, and is in general the one horse I like to use for
someone who comes to ride that doesn't know much
about riding. His two favorite gaits are walk and trot...
the first being the ultimate. He would be a great horse
for someone who likes to do just that. He's easy going
and has been through a baracade of experiences for his
young age but very trust worthy and reliable. NEVER a
problem to catch, comes when called... easy to saddle
and knows "head down" so bridling isn't difficult either.
He's experienced down town, trains, been rode thru the
Dairy Queen drive thru for ice cream, truck stops, trail
rides, plays in the lakes... he's just an all around great
guy to be with. I would like to find him a home where
he will be appreciated as a riding horse and used. He
prefers a lot of room and isn't probably likely to
appreciate being stalled. He does get along with other
horses well. He needs his electorlites every day as do
most draft horses especially in hotter climates. But
other than that he's a low maintanence, easy handling,
easy to get a long with giant. He even knows how to
stand still next to mounting objects for riders to get on.
No offense, but he's a special placement type so we will
be interested in where he's going to be kept, his care,
and his future. We would not like anyone to be offended
by our asking. So, if you have a need for a gentle rider,
have the room, the time, and the abilities... pls inquire.
