Horse Description

Galaxy (registered name Big Ruler) is a 4 year old thoroughbred gelding retired off the track this spring after a lackluster 4 starts. He is a grandson of Storm Cat, but showed no talent for racing. He has been in retraining since leaving the track working on the lunge, under saddle (w/t/c using a snaffle bit), and recently trotting quietly over ground poles and cross bars. He has a very nice walk and overtracks naturally. Galaxy is quiet and sensible under saddle and has a very workmanlike attitude. His 16.1 dark bay (nearly black) frame could use a few more pounds, but he has been adjusting wonderfully to life off the track. He has clean legs and no vices nor bad habits. He clips, ties, bathes, stands for the farrier, and trailers without problems. Galaxy has been a pleasure to work with but is now ready to focus his talents toward a specific goal such as dressage, hunter, jumping, or eventing.
