| Horse Description |
|
GT is a fantastic English prospect. He is by a beautiful
moving, modern looking appaloosa stallion and out of a
16.3H Bay TB mare who won more than $70K on the
track. I owned the mare and bred for this baby. I
know both parents. His dam is fancy moving and I rode
her while in the process of selling her. In that short
time she progressed nicely and was extremely willing
and quiet. Also in this time she quickly learned a
headset and demonstrated a beautiful canter. She has
now been bought by a racehorse breeder and is being
bred to some of the best racehorses in the industry. I
have pictures and a video of her riding.
GT is not too different from his dam. He is extremely
quiet and I have literally NEVER seen him spook. He
has been worked with since MINUTE one and it shows.
He clips, ties, bathes, lunges, stands for farrier etc
without any problem. In the interest of his sale, I
decided to break him. No spook just wants to please.
The kind you have to push. Even took him out on trail
on his 5th ride (by himself)! Muck, ditches, dogs, cows
he doesn't flinch. I'd trust him with anyone. I don't plan
on riding him again until the summer unless someone is
coming to look at him because I don't want to stress his
legs. GT is a big, bold mover with tons of suspension
and 'hang time'. Very comfortable rockinghorse canter.
He is already 15.2H (almost 16H at hip) with
tremendous bone and feet and won't be 2 until May
11th, should mature 16.1 - 16.2H. For reference, I'm
5'8". He will excel in the hunter/jumper/dressage
arena. I was surprised he was not granted regular
papers initially. He has enough color to be looked at
twice and has really cool looking striped hooves. ApHC
now has the Performance Permit allowing him to race or
show regardless of his color. He was more of a liver
chestnut as a weanling but has been outside fading his
coat. I have tons of pics so just email if interested.
Must sell. Special consideration given to show home.
Please dont hesitate with questions. Will work with right
buyer with payments, board etc.
