| Horse Description |
|
âLaylaâ is a fantastic mare we have had since she was a
yearling. We bought her from well know foundation
breeder Jack Ashman of Jana Quarter Horse Farm. She
was bought to be my husbandâs cow/all-around western
performance horse. Time and business constraints are
the only reason for selling. This mare is WAY too nice to
be sitting out in the pasture. She has unlimited potential
as a roping, reining, working cow, or ranch horse. That
is what she is bred to do and she is a natural with the
cattle, she cuts them out in the field just for fun. In the
right hands I feel she could also do trail, western riding
and horsemanship because she is an incredible mover.
She is a solid 15.2H and will still block out some as she
is not finished maturing. Her bloodlines are a
foundation âwhoâs whoâ including Jackie Bee and Bar
Flower on her regular, not extended, pedigree. She is
currently in training locally just to keep her ridden and
quiet. She has been kept up to date on worming. She
would need a coggins, rabies, and WNV to be completely
current. I give my own vaccines but in NC we cannot
administer rabies vaccine and I have had no need for a
vet to come out to the barn. She has been hauled a few
times and is no trouble. She is currently barefoot and
has great feet, legs and bone. She has however been
shod in the past when sent away for breaking/training.
If you wanted her bred yet this year we would be willing
to breed her to one of my familyâs reining stallions. A
14.3H palomino QH congress placer in reining (you could
get a palomino or buckskin roan), out of daughter of
Cutter Bill and by million dollar sire Be Aech Enterprise.
The other stallion is a 15.3H bright sorrel in training also
son of Be Aech Enterprise. He is very modern looking
and defines athleticism. I know itâs late in the year but
we would be willing if you want. We cannot give LFG
because the stallions are also subject to sale and we
may not have them next spring. Any questions please
donât hesitate. I have more pics, just ask. I may be
able to get a pic of her parents. Her sire died tragically
in a farm accident in the spring of her yearling year. He
had not had many foal crops so she is one of the few of
his babies on the ground.
